Chartier House
A Home for the Catastrophically Injured
Chartier House, located in a pleasant suburban neighborhood in Washington Township, Michigan, is a private residence that has been specially renovated to accommodate six people. This home-like setting makes people feel more comfortable and independent than they would in a nursing home designed for elderly people.
Chartier House has four private rooms and one semi-private room. Amenities include:
- Three delicious, healthy meals served daily
- Electric hospital beds that look like home
- Wheelchair accessible showers and sinks
- An exercise room with state-of-the-art wheelchair adaptable equipment
- 24-hour dedicated professional staff
- Long-term, short-term, and respite care available
In addition, because Chartier House was founded by Personal Home Care Services, Inc., a leader of home care in Michigan, there is a full complement of services available. These include:
- Internal Case Managers
- Rehab Nurses
- Psychologists
- Nutritionists
- Physical and Occupational Therapists
- Pharmaceuticals
- Medical Equipment
Many families take on the responsibility of caring for a loved one, but if the person wants to live on their own, or those caregivers are no longer able to care for them, Chartier House gives them an option for a permanent residence.
